What to do:

Try this (5-minute) pink-berry smoothie!

 

 
 

Why this step works:

Every day this week, I’ve started my day with this bright pink smoothie. And I’d highly recommend giving it a try for 5 reasons!


First up, the lovely bright pink colour will make you smile! 


Second, it’s packed full of hormone-balancing, stress-busting and immune-supportive nutrients which I think we could all probably do with a bit more of right now.


Third, it’s one for all the family; a great start to everyone’s day whilst we’re all still at home together.


Fourth, it literally takes about 5 minutes from start to finish – yay!


And last but not least, when we look after ourselves well, not only are we supporting our own health and wellbeing, but we are in a much better place to look after others too.  Everything starts with self-care.

Pink-berry smoothie recipe


You will need (serves 3-4)

  • 1 x small banana OR small avocado

  • 300ml almond milk

  • 3 x tablespoons full fat live organic natural yoghurt OR coconut yoghurt

  • 2 tbsps organic grass-fed whey protein OR organic pea protein

  • Small handful fresh raspberries

  • Large handful mixed frozen berries

  • Handful fresh spinach

  • Handful ice

  • ½ tablespoon ground flaxseeds

  • ½ tablespoon ground pumpkin seeds

  • Dessicated coconut (optional to sprinkle on top)

Method:

Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender (Nutribullet / Vitamix or similar). Blend until smooth and serve immediately.  To make your smoothie runnier, simply add more milk.

Serve in a tall glass and then notice whether your lantern shines that little bit more brightly throughout the rest of your day.
